Before + After: Country Club Kitchen

You guyyyys...guess what?!? I have my first 'before + after' post to share with you!! eeekkkkk!! (cue my little happy dance)

This property was a short sale house and was kind of a mess when the owners purchased it...okay, kind of a big mess! The original kitchen was super closed off and compact, which didn't allow for the open floor plan my clients were dreaming of. So, we knocked down a few walls, removed the fireplace (which we would have loved to keep, but was such a disaster within itself that it wasn't worth it), and extended the kitchen into the designated dining area. This created an open plan allowing the kitchen, family room, and (new) dining area all to flow into one cohesive space. We removed the original windows in the kitchen and dining area and replaced it with one large window in the center. We also made sure to leave some room for a decent size pantry in the corner (you can't redo a kitchen and not give yourself a good pantry!). This was quite a task and required full demolition all the way down to the studs!

Anyways, I'll stop boring you with all the details now and let you check out the good stuff!

We were going for a bright, white, and airy kitchen and I think we achieved just that! They now have a kitchen that is open to the rest of their living spaces and no longer feels dark and crammed into a corner. What do y'all think...would you like a kitchen like this? Give it to me straight...
